After Sheikh Hasina resigned as Prime Minister on August 5 and fled Bangladesh amid the ongoing Bangladesh protests, violent protests continued across the country. Massive crowd stormed the PM`s official residence, Ganabhaban, looting and vandalizing everything they could find, including televisions and furniture. They even damaged a statue of Sheikh Hasina’s father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The destruction was extensive, affecting both public and private buildings. The ongoing violence, despite Hasina’s resignation, shows the intensity of the unrest.
