Two persons were arrested for allegedly snatching Rs 20,000 cash from a motorcycle rider in the city, police said on Saturday.
The incident happened on Friday when a taxi blocked the biker''s way on EM Bypass near Chingrighata crossing in Tiljala area, and three persons got down from the vehicle and snatched the money from him, an officer said.
"They forced the biker to board the taxi and looted him at gunpoint. The criminals dropped him near a shopping mall in Kasba area," he said.
Based on a complaint lodged by the motorcycle rider, the Kolkata Police arrested two persons, including the taxi driver, and seized the vehicle.

"There were four persons including the driver. We are looking for two others and probing into the incident," the officer added.
