The police of Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district registered a case against a 35-year-old woman for pouring hot oil on her husband's face while he was asleep.
Shivkumari Ahiwar who has been married to victim Arvind Ahiwar, 35, for 4 years had a daily spat over him returning home late from work but they did not fight for long as their parents intervened, the Times of India reported.
However, around 5 am when he was asleep she poured hot oil on his face, Arvind's brother told the media.

Hearing the chaos, the parents rushed to their room and took Arvind to the hospital. The victim, a daily wage labourer, is being treated at the Bundelkhand Medical College is Sagar and has suffered severe burn injuries.
A police official told that the accused stayed home after the incident and expressed regret. A case has been filed against her.
