Subsequently, a complaint was lodged at the Cubbon Park police station and later transferred to the Commercial Street police station.
MiD DAY had carried the report yesterday (Did BJP leader's nephew harass family?, October 18).
"Vishal had claimed that he is Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu's nephew, which is false and he is no way related to him," said an official from the Commercial Street police station.
Commercial Street Police Inspector Badrinath said, "The Cubbon Park police had the case until 4 am. They took them to the hospital for a checkup. The case was transferred to us later."
"We have booked a case under drunk driving and road rage and it has been sent to the court. Vishal is an employee with a leading bank, and the other person is an architect," he added.
