A police officer stated that the woman's stomach was covered with a gunny bag and her face, hands, chest and legs were decomposed, adding that the covered stomach was intact because of the bag.
"Since the body was covered with a bag, it is possible that she was murdered. However, no external injuries were seen and the woman seems to have been murdered and dumped at the spot around 10 to 15 days ago. Further investigation is underway," said More.
A police source stated the woman appeared to belong to a well-to-do family and was wearing a salwar kameez, but her footwear was missing. She had three gold rings on her fingers, indicating that robbery was not the motive, cops said. u00a0
