A 26-year-old woman allegedly immolated herself along with her two minor children in neighbouring Ramabainagar district, police said here today.
The incident took place yesterday when Sangeeta set herself on fire along with her son- Mayank(3) and daughter- Bittu(4) in the Karori village of the district, they said.
After the neighbours saw smoke coming out of the house, they immediately rushed to help the victims but found Sangeeta dead and the kids, who were rushed to the hospital succumbed to their injuries on the way, police said.
The victim along with her husband Mukesh Singh, who is an army personnel posted in Bareilly, came to her in-laws house ten days ago, they said.

The victim's brother Anuj Pratap Singh said that Sangeeta, who was married four years ago, was subjected to regular harassment over dowry demands and alleged that her husband, father-in-law and mother-in-law was responsible for the incident.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the trio based on the complaint filed by the victims's brother and further investigations are on, they added.
