An unmarried pregnant girl delivered a baby in the toilet of a Turkmenistan Airlines plane. The plane that was coming from Russia landed at the Amritsar airport on Wednesday.
According to police, the new-born was found in the toilet and the mother might have tried to dispose it of there.
Police say, the 22-year-old girl came out of the plane after it arrived at Rajasansi International Airport.
Meanwhile, during routine checking, the plane crew found the baby in the toilet and issued an alert at the airport, after which the girl was arrested.
Police have registered a case under Section 315 of IPC (act done with intent to prevent child being born alive or to cause it to die after birth) against her.

The girl along with the child was shifted to Escorts Hospital near the airport. Medical Superintendent of the Hospital Dr HP Singh said the mother was now stable but the condition of the child was critical.
