Two cops found dead mysteriously

A 31-year-old police constable committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Magadi road.

The deceased, Chikkaveeregowda, of Byatarayanapura police station, was reportedly alone at the police quarters when he took this extreme step.

His wife, who is four months pregnant, had gone to her mother's house. She retuned home to find her husband hanging on a dhoti.

The reason for this extreme step is yet to be ascertained. The Magadi road police have taken up a case of un natural death and are investigating.

In another incident, Ramesh, 40, a constable attached to the city armed reserve, was found dead in a mysterious circumstances on the railway tracks in HSR Layout.

Initially police suspected that Ramesh might have committed suicide; but an injury on his head looks like he was attacked with a sharp weapon. The HSR Layout police have booked a case of unnatural death.
