Short circuit causes fire in Kondhwa

A fire broke out in Jaldhara Building, in Mithanagar area late last night when locals noticed sparking from the electrical box. The fire was extinguished and it was reported that no one was injured.


A fire broke out in Jaldhara Building, in Mithanagar area late last night when locals noticed sparking from the electrical box. The fire was extinguished and it was reported that no one was injured.

The incident occurred at around 11.45 pm in Mithanagar area, situated near Kondhwa. Residents of the building noticed the fire, as they noticed sparks coming from the electrical box. The residents of the building informed the fire brigade.

One of the fire brigade officials said, "We cut off the electricity supply to the area and employees from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution (MSEDL) were called in for help to rectify the snag."u00a0

Twenty employees of MSEDL corrected the fault and extinguished the fire.
