Sources said she was stressed as she was unsure about her exam results
A twenty-year-old nursing student of B J Medical College attemptedu00a0 suicide late last evening. Sources said she was stressed as she was unsure of passing in the examination.
According to the resident medical officer (RMO) at the college, the student (name withheld), who was living in the college hostel, consumed pesticide in the evening and was admitted to Sassoon Hospital at 8 pm.
She was shifted to the ICU soon after being admitted and her condition was reported to be serious at 2.30 am, when MiD DAY last spoke to the RMO.
Sassoon Hospital authorities, however, denied giving an update on the student's condition.

Somwar Peth police chowky's constable Shirke said he could not record the student's statement as she was not in a condition to speak.u00a0A case has been registered under Section 309 of the IPC.
