A 22-year-old man, who allegedly used to target women on lonely stretches and robbed them at gun point, was arrested in New Delhi, police said on Tuesday.
Vishal, a resident of Shahdara, was arrested from Bhalaswa Jheel on Monday by a team of Crime Branch, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Neeraj Thakur said.
A country-made pistol, a stolen motorcycle and a phone have been recovered from him.
He already has at least 12 criminal cases registered against him at various police stations, including Shahdara, Welcome, IP Estate, Patel Nagar, Paharganj, Daryaganj, Jyoti Nagar and Seemapuri.

"His crimes include abduction and sexual assault, chain snatching and possession of illegal firearms. He has been in and out of jail numerous times and for the past four months he is out on bail," Thakur said.
"Vishal and his associates preferred to use motorcycles for committing robbery.
