"The leopard did not attack me. Around 10.15 am I was going to office, when suddenly a leopard appeared in front of my motorcycle.

The animal was trying to cross the road when the incident occurred. The moment my motorcycle rammed into the leopard, he was knocked off his feet and I was thrown off the motorcycle.

Fortunately, I wasn't speeding which prevented the leopard from sustaining grievous injuries. Within seconds of the accident, the leopard got up and ran away into the bushes," Botade said.

Botade was rushed to the nearby BMC hospital and was given first aid treatment. He sustained minor injuries.u00a0
