If, you are one among those who have fire in their belly you can take up a career in fire engineering. Those who wish to study the nature of fire and its inter-relationship with buildings, can follow the Fire Safety and Risk Management Degree pathway. The BSc (Hons) Fire and Leadership Studies course has been developed in Europe jointly with the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.
This programme is offered both full-time and part-time.
The Centre for Research in Fire and Hazard Studies provides extensive research in the subject.u00a0 The degree exempts students from the academic requirements of the Engineering Council and allows graduates to register and complete a specific period of Professional Development.
Students may pursue the course in stages like post -graduate diploma and then convert this into a Masters degree at a later stage or by completion of specific modules to gain discreet awards, which build up into a full masters degree.
