This book is product of research by actress Vandana Ghangurde, includes rare pictures of the music virtuosoAfter a gap of almost eight years, the nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar will grace the dais in a public function in the city. The occasion is the release of Marathi book Brid tuze Jagi Deenanath, a musical biography of her father Baba alias Master Deenanath.

"For the first time Lata is releasing a book in a public domain in Pune," said Anil Kulkarni of Anubandh Prakashan, the publisher. "It is my prime privilege that she accepted our request to release the book. My dream of releasing a book on Master Deenanath has become a reality after 12 years."
The book is a research work made by noted singer and stage actress Vandana Ghangurde who was working on it for the last six years. "She is ready to come and release the book only because she liked my writings and all the efforts I have taken for it," Ghangurde said.
Her husband Ravindra Ghangurde who is also a singer-actor has contributed many rare pictures of Master Deenanath to the book. Ghangurde said the first copy of the book was presented to the family God of Mangeshkar in Goa on November 29 last year, which was the birth anniversary of Master Deenanath.
Lata, who is 81 now, learnt the rudiments of music from her father when she was just eight. "Baba is my first inspiration and also a Guru, whose blessings are still with me and my family," she said. Lata herself had complied the memories of Master Deenanath in 1952, on his 10th death anniversary and released them in a function in Mumbai.
