For old times' sake
Guests who were invited to the unveiling of fashion photographer Waseem Khan's 2009 calendar were in for a surprise. Bollywood actress and Bangalore girl Deepika Padukone did the honours for an "old friend" as she described Waseem. She breezed in and out of Shiro at the Chivas afternoon, before anyone could get a smile out of her. Wearing a stunning white halter dress, she flipped through the pages of the calendar, remarked that she knew Waseem since she was seven, adding that she was taller than him even then, and fled through a back door in a trice. Did we hear you say something about the price of fame?!
