Commuters travelling on Delhi Metro's Yellow Line (Huda City Centre - Samaypur Badli) were made to wait for their trains a bit longer on Tuesday when the service faced a technical glitch in the evening peak hour. The fault was later rectified. Due to the overhead equipment (OHE) fault, the trains were run for about one hour on a single line (going towards Gurugram), which caused this delay.
"Train services on Line-2 from Vishwavidyalaya to Samaypur Badli were run on down line due to OHE issue near Jahangirpuri on Up (towards Samaypur Badli) line since 7.30 pm onwards," the the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said in a statement. "Service from Vishwavidyalay to HUDA City Centre were running normal on both lines during this period. OHE issue rectificed at 8:37 p.m. and now normal services are restored on affected section of line-2," it added.
