Delhi Tuesday recorded the highest minimum temperature in the last five years at 32 degrees Celsius, the weather office said.

"The minimum recorded temperature for Tuesday stood at 32 degree Celsius, which was five notches above normal for this time of the year," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) told IANS.

The record breaking minimum temperature came a day after the maximum temperature broke an eight year record. The day temperature Monday was 45.4 degrees.

Delhi can expect the maximum temperature to hover around 44 degrees Celsius Tuesday. The humidity levels stood at 19 percent.

"The national capital can expect a partly clouded sky with possibility of dust and thunderstorm in some parts of the city," the official added.
