Sarojini Nagar police got into a wrangle with mediapersons who had gone to cover the incident where a 20-year-old youth had allegedly been thrown off the second floor of his brother's house by three persons. The incident occurred late on Sunday night in West Kidwai Nagar near Sarojini Nagar.u00a0

The victim, Ajeet, who reportedly works as a supervisor with Orissa Bhawan in Chanakyapuri area, had gone to his brother's residence to celebrate his nephew's birthday.
Ajeet's family members alleged that he was thrown off the second floor by a neighbour Sonu and his friends after an altercation.

However, the local police said that the victim had accidentally fallen off.

The family reported that Ajeet had come to celebrate the birthday of his nephew when he had an argument with Sonu. Ajeet's brother Ashok said that Sonu and Ajeet ended the quarrel in a short while. However, after sometime Sonu again reached there along with his friends and again an altercation ensued after which Ajeet was pushed down from the second floor.

"The door to our room had been locked by someone from the outside. We could hear loud voices of Ajeet and Sonu. One of the neighbours opened our door and we rushed to the second floor. No one was there. When we looked down we were shocked to see Ajeet lying on the street soaked in blood. Sonu and his friends were fleeing from the spot," said Ashok the victim's brother.

Police have contradicted Ashok's allegation and claim that Ajeet, who is currently hospitalised, had himself given the statement that it was an accident.

Speaking to MiD DAY, the victim's brother claimed that police had forced Ajeet to give a contradictory statement.
