A woman police officer lost her service revolver when she went to answer nature's call. According to the authorities, the officer had left the revolver on the window, when it went missing.
Lost to the loo: The sub-inspector was deployed to Juhu beach on Saturday to oversee the visarjans when the incident occurred
Sub-Inspector Ranjana Salunkhe attached to the Juhu police station had been deployed at Juhu beach for the Ganpati visarjans on Saturday. She visited the restroom at the beach near Tulip Hotel and left her gun on the window ledge.
She later found her revolver missing and began searching for it when she realised that the gun had been picked up from the window.

She immediately informed the Santacruz police and a case of theft under Section 380 of the Indian Penal Code was registered.
The authorities have questioned 25 people but are yet to receive a clue.
Confirming the theft, an official from the Santacruz police station said, "The officer had gone to the public toilet, from where it went missing. According to locals, there are many peeping Toms who visit the toilet. We have questioned 25 people so far but have received no clue."
Senior Inspector Arun Chavan, Santacruz police station, said, "We have registered a case under Section 380 of IPC. We are trying to find the whereabouts of the weapon." u00a0
