A call centre cab rammed into a motorcycle on Pankha Road in Hari Nagar late on Tuesday night.

According to the police, the driver of the car that had a UP registration number was drunk. The driver and the biker sustained grievous injuries and both were rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital.

"Doctors told us that the biker identified as Vikas is stable while the cab driver is in a critical condition. We have lodged an FIR of rash and negligent driving against him," a senior police officer told MiD DAY.

Police said that the cab bearing registration number UP16T0195 was being driven at a speed in excess of 100 km/h by the driver. When he reached Pankha Road, he lost control over the vehicle and hit the biker after which the vehicle rolled over at least three times before coming to a stop.

"The cab belongs to the 'We Care' company. The driver was alone in the cab. Probably he was returning home after dropping off some staff," the police officer added.
