A bomb hoax at a pharmaceutical company located at Hosur Road created chaos among the employees yesterday morning.
According to the police, a Hindi-speaking man called the front office at 8.36 am, informing them that a bomb had been planted, and would explode within three hours.
Officials immediately called the police, and the bomb squad, along with Hebbagodi police rushed to the spot. The company declared a holiday to vacate the premises, so that the police could search the building.

Officials conducted a thorough search before confirming that was a hoax call. An official from the Hebbagodi police station said, "We suspect that it could be the handiwork of a former employee wanting to play a prank," an official said.He addedu00a0 that it could also be someone who just wanted to trouble the police.
