A 21-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a BSF constable in Najafgarh area of south-west Delhi. A senior police official said that the victim, Nupur (name changed) was on friendly terms with the accused Anuj for the past eight months. They met each other through a common friend and became close.
False pretext
"Nupur lives in Badarpur area of southwest Delhi. She was called by Anuj on the pretext of a meeting. It was a tent house where Anuj took her along. Nupur has alleged that in the tent house the accused raped her and threatened her of dire consequences," said the police official. The official added that Anuj went to drop her off at the nearest Metro station from where she called the police.

"The girl said that she had got scared of him and was looking for a chance to inform the police. She called the cops when they reached the Dwarka mor Metro station and were inside. Anuj was caught by CISF personnel. Metro police took the statement of the girl in this connection," said the police official. He also said that they have informed Najafgarh police station to get an FIR of rape registered.
