Thane district on Sunday reported as many as 17 new Covid-19 cases. The new cases took the infection tally to 1,96,600 according to a bulletin issued by the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC).
According to the bulletin, no death was reported on September 25. The Covid-19 fatality toll in Thane now stands at 2,162.

With the addition of the latest cases on Sunday, Thane currently has 129 active Covid-19 cases.

26 Covid-19 patients recovered on Sunday, taking the total number of recoveries since the beginning in the city to 1,94,309. The recovery rate in the TMC area is 98.83 per cent.
