Maharashtra on Tuesday reported 550 new Covid-19 cases and two fatalities, which took the state's tally to 81,16,384 and the toll to 1,48,314, according to the state health department.
The recovery count rose by 772 and reached 79,63,854, leaving Maharashtra with 4,216 active cases.

The highest number of 211 cases were detected in the Mumbai circle, followed by 192 in Pune circle, 34 in Nagpur, Nashik 24, Kolhapur 26 and Aurangabad 17, the department said.

State health department data showed the recovery rate was 98.12 per cent and the fatality rate was 1.82 per cent.
The overall number of coronavirus tests conducted in the state stood at 8,45,69,171.
