Maharashtra on Monday recorded 292 new coronavirus positive cases and two deaths, which raised its caseload to 81,15,834 and toll to 1,48,312, the state health department said.
The highest number of 153 cases were detected in the Mumbai circle, followed by 65 in Pune circle, 24 in Nagpur, Nashik 18, Kolhapur four and Aurangabad seven, the department said.

At least 390 patients recuperated from the infection in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 79,63,082.

Maharashtra's recovery rate stands at 98.12 per cent, while the fatality rate is 1.82 per cent, the department said.
The number of samples examined so far for coronavirus went up to 8,45,49,416 in the state, the data revealed.
