Talk about economising! In the absurd news of the day, at a nakabandi near Khanvide toll naka early morning yesterday, the Virar police nabbed a duo as they were attempting to transport an unconscious cow and a bull in a hollowed out Santro to Mumbai.
However, discomfort during travel might have been the least of the worries for the cattle as inquiry revealed that Altaf Mustafa Shah (20) and Irfan Salim Sayyed (22) were bringing them to the city to be slaughtered.
The duo was just too cheap to spring some money for it!
