Sachin wont be state tourism ambassador

The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation's (MTDC) ambitious dream of roping in master-blaster Sachin Tendulkar as its ambassador has fallen flat. Speaking at a press conference, the Tourism Minister Chhagan Bhujbal confirmed that the plans had fallen through. "The issue has been closed now. We have decided not to insist too much. Tendulkar belongs to the whole country," Bhujbal added. A few months ago, MTDC had sent a letter to Tendulkar, asking him to represent the tourism body. Tendulkar, however, did not respond to the request.
