Three cousins were killed on Tuesday morning after a container truck rammed into their bike. The tragic incident took place in Bhiwandi, on Tuesday morning.
The deceased have been identified as 20-year-old Samir Farukhali, 23-year-old Sohed Ansari and 23-year-old Asad Mirza. All three of them were pursuing their college education. The victims were all from Aurangabad, however they lived in Bhiwandi.
According to a report in the Indian Express, an officer from Bhiwandi rural police station is quoted as having said, "According to eyewitnesses, a container hit the bike on which they were travelling. All three had suffered serious head injuries." The officer reportedly added that Ansari and Mirza were going to get married later in the week

A case has been filed against the driver of the truck who fled from the spot. The IE report also quotes an inspector investigating the case as having added, "Prima facie, it was the container driver's fault."
