Lt Governor Iqbal Singh of Puducherry said he recommend Pune-based Hasan Ali's for a passport in a letter written to Home Ministry.
Earlier on Saturday, the Principal Secretary in the Uttar Pradesh government, VS Pandey, was removed from his post following reports of his alleged links with Hasan Ali.
Summons have already been issued to Iqbal, while the same will be issued next week following the questioning ofu00a0 Bihar politician Amalendu Pandey by the Enforcement Directorate in Mumbai.
Stud farm owner Ali was arrested on March 7 for allegedly laundering billions of dollars in Swiss bank accounts since 2007.
