Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray asked party leaders not to get disheartened with the poor performance of the party in the recent general polls and gear-up for the coming assembly polls.
Addressing the party office-bearers and senior Sena leaders from Thane on Thursday, he asked them to work hard to capture the Maharashtra Assembly for which the elections are likely to be held within a couple of months.
After the debacle, in the recent Lok Sabha polls Thackeray spoke about the reasons for the defeat of Sena nominees. The saffron leaders also discussed on various issues related to the forthcoming polls.
Most of those present for the meeting felt that the defeat of Sena nominees was on account of the presence of Raj Thackeray-led MNS candidates and also selection of wrong candidates in certain constituencies.
