The Bandra police have arrested Deepak Bahry, a Bollywood film director and producer, on Wednesday morning under section 406 and 420 of the IPC. The arrest was made after the police received a court order over a civil case registered against Bhary.
The case was filed by producer Yasin Mohammed. According to Bhary, "Mohammed made false allegation that due to my bad reputation there were no takers for his movie."
Bhary and Moahmmed were working on the same movie. Bhary alleges that Mohammed has been illegally staying at his house in Oshiwara, which now he claims to be his own.
Bandra police confirmed that he was arrested, but later released on bail. "We had recived court orders after which we had arrested Bahry. He was realsed on bail as it was a bailable offence," said an offcial.
