Frequent quarrels between neighbours in Kopri, Vashi, took a serious turn on Wednesday, when one of the families allegedly attacked the other, severely injuring two of three siblings.
They have been admitted to Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation's hospital in Vashi. The APMC cops have arrested one of the five accused in the attack so far.
Kajol Vaishya, 27, had complained to the APMC police that on March 27, her neighbour, Prakash Aiyyar, had abused her, when he saw her cleaning temple lamps by fetching water from a tap owned by him (the temple is in the society premises).
On April 10, her 16-year-old brother was playing with a football with her in front of their flat on the second floor, when Kajal kicked it and it went straight into Aiyyar's house.

This triggered a fight between the two families. The police said Aiyyar and Kajal's family assaulted each other.
Cross complaints were filed at the police station by both families against each other the same day.
On April 14, the police said Aiyyar's family allegedly attacked Kajal's family.
"Three siblings have been allegedly attacked by a sickle. Kajal, Amit, 25 and Hritik, 16, were attacked, and Amit and Kajal are critical while Hritik is stable," said an officer from APMC police station.
The police have arrested one person (whom they haven't named) in connection with the matter while four other accused have fled.
