Break-up sex, which is defined as when a couple has decided to break-up but wants to have sex one more time with the intention of breaking up afterwards, can lead to more heartache says a sex columnist in Australia.
The loss of a relationship can be incredibly hard and extremely painful, and break-up sex may ease the pain temporarily but it will not help mend a broken heart in the long run, the Daily Telegraph reported.
Focusing on something else is all part of letting go, but sex is not, especially if one is sensitive, emotional or distraught or has the hope that the relationship can be revived.
Acceptance is crucial if we are to heal, and break-up sex usually prevents progress, as it cannot bring back what was there in the past.
