Are you in the mood to taste authentic Kerala cuisine?

Head to the Peetha Street at Fort into a bylane that connects Pherozeshah Mehta Marg to Janmabhoomi Marg.

Located close to each other among some glitzy food joints in the vicinity are Hotel Deluxe and Taste of Kerala. Both eateries serve a variety of trademark Kerala dishes, and each time we have dropped by, we found something new about the cuisine of this coastal state of India.

Despite the variety some items remain in our mind forever, like the traditional Chicken Sukha (Rs 88) and the Vegetarian Thali (Rs 100) at Taste of Kerala and the the simple yet delicious Mutton Sukha (Rs 120) and Lachcha Paratha (Rs 8), served on a banana leaf with a unique coconut curry at Hotel Deluxe.

Perhaps it's because of the competition between both these joints, as evident in the quality of food, they are nothing less than heaven for those who wish to try some homely food from Kerala.u00a0
