Mariah Carey seeking lucrative New Year's Eve deal

Mariah Carey apparently wants to make big money this new year's eve and is thus seeking a huge money spinning deal to fulfil her wish, according to reports.

With less than a week to go, the newly svelte songstress' team was shopping over the past few days for a gig paying up to 500,000 dollars, at any venue in the United States and beyond the New York Post reported.

Reportedly, Carey's team also was asking for a private jet to fly her and her entourage out of Aspen, where she is spending the holidays with her family.

"Mariah's management was looking for a very lucrative deal for her, but she'd sing only just a few songs. But there haven't yet been any takers," a source said.

"While her team is fielding her offers, Mariah is happy spending the holidays with her twins and husband."

But contrary to what the source has said, superstar's rep has denied any such reports. "She's not doing any New Year events. She'll be in Aspen with her family," the rep said.
