From doing women-oriented films, Vidya Balan has now turned her attention to the quality of hygiene and sanitation for women in the country. Being the brand ambassador for Nirmal Bharat Abhiyaan, the actress will be spreading awareness about having basic toilet facilities at homes.
Vidya was approached by Minister Jayaram Ramesh a few months ago. The actress tells us, "We always take sanitation and hygiene for granted and it's a huge challenge, especially in the interiors of the country."
The actress has already shot for three ad films for the campaign with director Vibhu Puri. Vidya says, "They will release on October 3. I hope they create a major impact everywhere." The campaign will end on October 19 in Bettiah (Bihar) after travelling to MP, UP, Bihar, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Vidya will be present there on the day. u00a0
