Subhash Ghai sets up shop in the land of matadors

Subhash Ghai was recently in Spain to sign the deal to open a branch of Whistling Woods University at the Alicante Film City in Valencia.

Subhash Ghai was recently in Spain to sign the deal to open a branch of Whistling Woods University at the Alicante Film City in Valencia. He says, "I signed the deal with Jose Luis Villaneuva, mayor of Valencia. We have been getting offers from various countries but Spain fulfilled our terms."

Million-dollar deal

Apparently, Ghai has been paid millions of dollars for the deal. Though he is reluctant to disclose the amount he says, "Yes it's a good amount but we offer the best in terms of education and faculty. Many celebrities have given lectures at the WW Institute in Mumbai.

Recently we have opened an MBA course in media and entertainment. I am proud that WW is reaching out internationally. We started with 80 students in Mumbai and today we have 320 students in three years.

They have a huge hi-tech Film City in Alicante and with our WW they want us to teach all Asians, Indians and European students together. " Ghai adds that having a WW in Spain is just one step further in establishing many more branches all over the world and India.
