Mika Singh
The Movies I Loved Growing Up
The singer on his pick of flicks...
Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander: My friends and I believed that this film was made specially for us we could relate to everything in this film. We suddenly saw a new wave of filmmaking, leaving behind drama. These were characters who spoke like normal people and were instantly identifiable.
Sholay: I remember mouthing Gabbar Singh and Thakur's dialogues as a child and entertaining my entire family. Sholay was a complete package of entertainment that had everything just right. Not in another 100 years, will we get Jai-Veeru, Gabbar, Thakur or Basanti. It's impossible to replicate Sholay.
Qurbani: It was very stylish and far ahead of its time. Feroz Khan casually cleaning his Mercedes was very classy and cool for that time. After watching him, I started wearing belts with large metallic buckles, a preference that has stayed with me for years after the film.u00a0

Arjun: Sunny Deol is my hero. After watching Arjun I would mimic Sunny paaji and the other day at a radio station, I actually fooled a girl into believing that I was him on the phone with dialogues from Arjun!u00a0
Khiladi: Khiladi's contemporary action was very exciting to watch. I used to keep on watching it to see the dhoom dhamaka. I never thought that years later, I would sing one of Akshay Kumar's most popular song Singh Is Kingg!
