SONAR KELLA (The Golden Fortress): Satyajit Ray's Bengali film was based on his book, a mystery thriller. It was about this young boy who would be haunted by memories of his previous life. He would keep drawing images from his past. I remember I was very scared while watching it!
THE GOOD THE BAD & THE UGLY: I recall Clint Eastwood's epic Western for its haunting music tracks, especially its main theme. In their quest to unearth a fortune, these guys did everything possible to get to the booty.
JAANE BHI DO YAARON: I don't think I have laughed so much while watching any other film. Everything and every character was too funny.
QAYAMAT SE QAYAMAT TAK: I was 13 when I saw Mansoor Khan's film starring Aamir! Its romance and music were heartening. And to think that years later, I would be with Aamir and also make a film with him! And Mansoor was my sounding board for Dhobi Ghat!
MAINE PYAR KIYA: This is yet another romantic saga I recall from my younger days for its numerous songs and for Salman Khan.
