It's A Wonderful Afterlife to release simultaneously in the two countries, but will not be dubbed in Punjabi

Gurinder Chadha's next film, It's A Wonderful Afterlife, will be the first film in several years to release simultaneously in India and Pakistan on May 7. Preparations are on to launch the film in a huge way. The original English film will be released only on April 23 in the UK and only the Hindi version will be released in India. Meanwhile, Gurinder has scrapped the idea of dubbing the film in Punjabi. She realised that Punjabi does not have a pan-Indian appeal and will now stick to dubbing it only in Hindi.

The film will also have two premieres in the UK. The first premiere will be held at Odeon West End, Leicester Square on April 12 and the second will be on April 14 in Birmingham.
