SHRI 420: I saw it four decades after its release. But it's magic swept my mind even at the age of 12 years. I fell in love with Raj Kapoor sahab and Nargisji. The music, the story, the characters of even Nadiraji and the song Pyaar Hua Ikrar Hua still remains with meu00a0-- it is one of the most beautifully shot songs. Years later, I understood, how Shree 420 for me became a case study on how a film was contemporary when made; and was a social statement of the then Indian youth. It was the classic story of morality.

DO AANKHEN BARA HAATH: The visual impact of this film lives with me even today. It is V Shantaram at his best. Thanks to my parents for showing me all these movies when I was young. It is a film that was way ahead in those times for the choice of subject and theme it explored. I was mesmerised by it.

CHALTI KA NAAM GADI: Kishoreda was by far one of the most underrated actors. Watched it over and over again and truly love it even today. My favourite romantic song, Ek ladki bheegi bhagi si. Madhubala! Just her name makes many a poem complete. My first crush of childhood. A mad hilarious joyride!

MR INDIA: Saw it, loved it, cried with it, laughed with it and wanted to just kill Mugambo but Mugambo didn't die, did he? He still lives on in our hearts, kudos to the late Amrishji for one of the most memorable and loved bad-men of Indian cinema.

AMAR AKBAR ANTHONY: The baap of wholesome and well crafted entertainment, Manmohan Desai ki jai ho, for teaching us what good thrillers felt like. Rishi Kapoor sahab and Amitji, two of my childhood favourites! Saw this film umpteen times as a kid.
