Actor turned producer Arbaaz Khan is filled with excitement as his film gets ready to hit theatres this Eid. With superstar little brother Salman Khan as the lead, Arbaaz had a blast working on the project. He opens up to CS:
First cut

Well, my debut as a producer has been quite fantastic. Though I come from a film family, production was like a whole new ball game. The entire experience has taught me a lot. In general, filmmaking comes with its share of obstacles, issues and setbacks.

Every film has its problems and one needs to cope with them. Even if I have faced some issues in my first film it won't deter me from producing another one. But I must say that I had the best cast, crew and technicians with me so we sailed smoothly all along. The hiccups were very minor.u00a0

A team effort

Making a film involves teamwork, so there are discussions and debates all along. In the end, it's a matter of whose sensibility is convincing enough for the rest to accept and incorporate in a film. We have made the film in a purely democratic manner. Of course, Salman gave a lot of inputs during its making.

And whenever we felt that his ideas would enhance the overall feel of the film, we accepted them. Salman knows the pulse of the audience and that's a great thing. Of course, he and I have creative differences but we don't fight like cats and dogs. It's a matter of convincing one another.

No kidding

As kids, the atmosphere at home wasn't too filmy. Dad used to have most of his readings outside. But every now and then we would have film personalities coming home for dinner or special occasions. It was a great feeling to meet them up, close and personal.

Slowly, all of us got attracted to films and decided to enter Bollywood. Both Salman and I are big fans of Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan) and I simply adore Vinod Khanna. I might have a list of favourite actors, but Salman is one of them. I think he is outstanding and his performance is this upcoming film will surely rank amongst his best.

I adored Salman in Maine Pyaar Kiya, Love, Karan Arjun, Judwaa, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Saajan and many others. Of course, he was fabulous in Wanted.

Though people believe that Salman has recently started writing and painting, not many know that he has contributed to many of his films by suggesting dialogues or scenes. Now, he has more time for his interests and it's a good thing.u00a0u00a0
